Carlyn and Dan Biagiotti

It was such an honor to photograph Carlyn and Dan for their maternity shoot. They are such a beautiful couple and I know they will be amazing parents. They were so incredibly kind and playful with each other. When they talked about Baby Boy Biagiotti they both glowed and you can see how excited they are to become parents. That little guy is going to be so lucky to have Carlyn and Dan as his mom and dad. I can’t wait to photograph them again as a family of three!

The Crawford/Tennant/Hernandez Family

I met Kalani at OrangTheory a few years ago and she quickly become a close friend. In some ways we are complete opposites and in other ways it seems like she is the only one who understands me. We text all the time, mostly about nothing, and I am so grateful for her friendship. Kalani’s family is one of the things that makes her so special. Her children are fortunate enough to have two amazing fathers, Brandon, their father by birth, and Rod, their stepfather. What makes this family especially unique is how well everyone gets along and enjoys being together. And if you spend any amount of time with them you can see that it’s real and sincere. This commitment to family is especially clear in the kids, Brooklyn and Karlo, who are kind, fun and beautiful inside and out.

I had such a wonderful time shooting this amazing modern family and I’m excited to share some of my favorite images from the shoot.

The Crothers Family

I work out with Diane at OrangeTheory, and we even ran a Spartan race together. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She was also very quick to support my new business and I will forever be grateful to her for that. This was the first time I’d met her family and they couldn’t have been nicer and easier to work with. I normally photograph younger kids so it was such a pleasure to work with teenagers who were really cooperative, kind and had the ability to sit still for more than three seconds. While we waited for the sun to move the boys practiced their Parkour skills on the rocks and cement and it was so much fun to take some action shots. Here are some of my favorite images of the awesome Crothers Family.

The "Other" Ow Family

I’ve been taking milestone photos of my nephew Zachary since he was six months old. Zachary is three months younger than my youngest son and they live in our neighborhood, so to say that all of our boys are growing up together is an understatement. Zachary was turning four when we took these photos and I love that we have these images to document each of the years. We had actually planned to shoot at a nearby ranch but right when we were about to leave a huge layer of fog came in and we decided to try a nearby field at UCSC. When we got there the light wasn’t cooperating as I had hoped and we had to get creative, but in the end we captured some amazing images that really highlight this beautiful family and the sunset was definitely worth the wait. Here are some of my favorite photos of three of my favorite people.
